Daniela Kenny is a recent graduate from Arizona State University where she earned a BS in Conservation Biology and a BA in Sustainability. She participated in multiple research labs at ASU and her work included data collection, analysis, specimen handling, and data management. Her favorite opportunity was funded by the Western Alliance to Expand Student Opportunities (WAESO) where she worked directly with graduate students and faculty to collaborate on research. For her WAESO research project, she sorted camera trap photos from northern Mexico, proposed a research question about camera trap techniques, analyzed data, and presented a poster on her findings at a conference. In her future career, she wants to be working towards creating solutions on how humans, wildlife, and our environment can better co-exist without diminishing each other’s right to life.
