MEET OUR INTERNS

Yusra Al-Asadi

Yusra is an environmental science and policy student attending George Mason University. She started her education journey in Northern Virginia community college (NOVA), and she has been interested in environmental issues, and the natural world since being a child. This has led her to take many electives in environmental science at Northern Virginia Community College. Her passion for this field grew with time, and she decided to continue her education in environmental science and policy at George Mason University. While attending college, Yusra has worked in different community-based projects on her Campus, and in her town on sustainability related projects, and, native plants and habitat restoration. At GMU, she strengthened and broadened her knowledge in many of the challenges facing the natural world today, and it is one of her passions to be a creative thinker that puts an emphasis on solving these challenges. While studying full time, Yusra works part time to meet the demands of life, while continuing her education. Her goal is to further continue her education in conservation science, and contribute to this field by focusing her career in government agencies, and organizations with a focus on conservation.
