Jazmin (she/her) is a first-generation college student from Nebraska. She recently graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) earning her Master of Science in Natural Resources and a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Wildlife. She has international experience conducting research in eastern Botswana on spotted hyena management within the ecotourism industry for the past 5 years.

As a graduate student, Jazmin was on the National Science Foundation Research Traineeship Program with a focus on resilience in agro-ecosystems. In an effort to make science and academia more inclusive, Jazmin served on the Chancellor's Commission on the Status of Women and founded a student organization called Latins for Natural Resources. Jazmin aims to continue to educate others by sharing her experience in academia and her knowledge of conservation. She believes the outdoors should continue to be made accessible to ALL and aims to continue growing as a science communicator and conservation advocate. Jazmin is excited for the opportunity to work with the USFS and help bridge open communication to continue to make trails accessible.
