Raised in North Hollywood, California, Bryan Flores is a recent first-generation college graduate with a degree in Environmental Science & Management and minor in Geographic Information Systems from UC Davis. As an Environmental Science major, Bryan is impassioned by fields such as land management, ecological restoration, climate change, and environmental justice. His most recent work with the Center for Ecosystem Climate Solutions analyzing tree mortality in California’s Sierra Nevada has informed an interest in land management. As an emerging professional in the environmental field, Bryan recognizes climate change’s disproportionate effects on communities of color and other historically marginalized populations. He hopes to someday work with these kinds of communities to link impactful science with its societal implications. As the Wilderness and Wild and Scenic Rivers resource assistant, he hopes to reflect these ideals in his work with the Forest Service.

Bryan also possesses extensive outreach experience as an intern at Earth Day Network and as part of SOL y LUNA, UC Davis’ Chicanx/Latinx Holistic Support program. 

When not working, Bryan is an avid skateboarder! He also engages in other creative pursuits like photography, videography, and writing.
