Taylor is a 4th year Environmental Studies and Ecology and Evolution Biology double major at University of California, Santa Barbara. She is a part of a research team at her school’s ecological research center, the Cheadle Center for Biodiversity and Ecological Restoration, studying native bee populations. Their projects include metabarcoding pollen to understand the diet of local bees and baseline monitoring of bees of Santa Barbara and Ventura County. Additionally, she led a team of volunteers on a campus project to assess the effect of managed landscapes on bee populations. In her free time, she loves to hike and spend time with her Golden Retriever, Hailey.
