My earned her B.S. in Ecology, Behavior, and Evolution at University of California, Los Angeles, where she published a paper exploring marine invertebrate cognition and risk classification. She also participated in research projects investigating the effects of climate change on wetland systems in California and on coral reef systems in French Polynesia. She is currently earning an M.S. in Environmental Science and Policy at Johns Hopkins University. She served in an AmeriCorps conservation corps, American Conservation Experience, for six months to improve and rehabilitate public lands. She moved on to work with the Great Basin Unified Air Pollution Control District as the Program Coordinator for the Keeler Dunes Dust Mitigation Project. The project aimed to reestablish native sand dune vegetation to decrease air pollution impacts on the communities of the Eastern Sierras. She aims to continue working in natural resource management.
