Emily Carter

Emily Carter is a Masters candidate in Environmental and Ocean Sciences at the University of San Diego. Her thesis research on the dive behavior of Pacific green sea turtles is critical for informing effective conservation strategies that benefit the endangered species. With a passion for environmental protection and stewardship, Emily is driven by a belief in the potential for positive change through collective action and dedication to conservation efforts. As a Mississippi Gulf Coast native, her commitment to preserving biodiversity stems from a profound connection to her environment. Emily aspires to leverage her academic pursuits to inform effective conservation strategies and inspire others to join in safeguarding our planet's precious ecosystems.
