Margaret Jones

Maggie Jones is from Louisville, KY and is currently studying at Michigan State University. She plans to graduate in spring 2025 with a dual B.S. in Plant Biology and Fisheries and Wildlife with a concentration in Conservation Biology. As an undergraduate, she has worked with MSU research labs to study viruses and insect vectors in switchgrass systems, as well as conducted an R-based behavioral analysis of invasive sea lamprey in the Great Lakes region. For two summers, Maggie worked at the W.K. Kellogg Biological Station studying crop physiological response to light in a long term ecological research (LTER) system. Through these experiences, she has discovered her love for ecology, research, conservation, and learning about the natural world. In her free time, she enjoys rock climbing, hiking, bird watching, biking, and reading.
