Andrés L. Pérez Cintrón is from Humacao, Puerto Rico, and is currently completing a master's degree in planning with an environmental and social emphasis at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. He has a bachelor's degree in wildlife management with a minor in education from the University of Puerto Rico, Humacao Campus. During his academic and professional experience, he has worked as a GIS analyst and educator, fisheries resources assistant, and national park planner. Additionally, he is part of a Puerto Rican bomba group, which is why Puerto Rican culture is vital to him. He is passionate about protecting and managing natural resources and preserving and conserving those spaces for future generations.
