Category: News Releases

Hispanic Access Foundation is thrilled to announce that Maite Arce, Founder and CEO of Hispanic Access Foundation, has been selected as one of the "100 Most Committed Latinos to Climate Action 2024" by Sachamama. The recognition highlights her unwavering dedication to environmental advocacy, sustainability promotion, and advancing solutions to addressing the climate crisis.

The award celebrates Latino leaders whose efforts contribute significantly to building a just, resilient, and sustainable future for all. The initiative will create platforms to amplify the work of these leaders, generating vital conversations around topics such as a just transition, climate financing, and adaptation strategies.

“It is a profound honor to be recognized among such influential leaders committed to climate action,” said Maite Arce, CEO of Hispanic Access Foundation. “This recognition underscores the vital role the Latino community plays in addressing the climate crisis. Our collective work as a community is essential in ensuring a sustainable and equitable future for future generations.”

Hispanic Access Foundation’s conservation program fosters leadership in environmental stewardship, empowering advocates to address climate change and protect natural resources. Through the Por la Creación Faith-based Alliance, we connect youth, families, and communities across the West with outdoor experiences and conservation projects that reflect their heritage and commitment to public health. Our annual initiative, Latino Conservation Week, mobilizes tens of thousands of individuals and organizations to advocate for the protection of our planet while addressing the unique challenges faced by Latino communities to go outdoors.
