Olivia Hemond

Olivia (she/her) is a current master's student in Environmental Science and Management at the Bren School at UC Santa Barbara. She is specializing in Conservation Planning and Strategic Environmental Communications and is passionate about implementing interdisciplinary strategies for biodiversity conservation and climate resilience. She is also interested in leveraging data science, GIS, and web-based tools to better communicate environmental information. She has work experience as a research assistant, a teacher, and an environmental analyst. She also holds a BS in Molecular Environmental Biology from UC Berkeley. In her free time, she loves to explore the outdoors, try new foods, make art, and travel.
