Connor is a current master's student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst studying road ecology of black bears and moose. Through occupancy modeling using black bear and moose radio collar data and data from 60 remote cameras, he hopes to better understand where wildlife crossing structures should be built to provide greater safety for both humans and animals. Originally from Louisiana, Connor previously received his BS in Natural Resource Ecology and Management from Louisiana State University in 2018. While attending Louisiana State University, Connor studied abroad in New Zealand, received numerous academic and philanthropic recognitions, and took part in multiple professional internships. Over the past 8 years, Connor has worked over 20 wildlife field jobs living in 17 states with multiple federal agencies, non-governmental organizations, public universities, and state agencies. In his free time, Connor enjoys anything outdoors in nature, however he is particularly fond of hiking and backing.
