Vanessa Ferguson

Vanessa Ferguson is a senior Public Relations student at Florida A&M University. Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Vanessa is a creative problem-solver who gets fired up about making a difference in the community through public relations and communications. She loves working with and meeting new people and uses her passions to create lasting relationships.

She made it her goal to gain as much experience as possible during her college years in order to have a broad range of knowledge for the future. She participates in organizations including the National Council of Negro Women, Planned Parenthood Generation Action, Student Government Association, The Famuan, and Women Student Union, just to name a few. These organizations have helped mold her into the woman she is today. Vanessa is not afraid to create change and speak up about important issues and hopes to use her voice to encourage others to do the same.

As helping people is Vanessa’s passion, she is excited to join the U.S. Forest Service team to continue doing so. Tallahassee's beautiful parks offer plenty of space for lovers of the outdoors, and Vanessa has made an effort to visit them all. She hopes to share these parks with others.
